Save Our South Dragons

Hey guys,

I'm a diehard basketball supporter and of course a Dragons supporter.

Since the Dragons decided not to enter the competition this season, i have not been able to support another team. Don't get me wrong, i still watch the games on Fox, but i cannot just jump on the bandwagon and support another team.The passion i shared for the Dragons was rare and it was passion i cannot share with any other NBL club.

Coming from last in one season to winning the championship the next, is a huge achievement. The emotions were enormous and i cannot just put that behind me.

To be honest, i only found out about this website today. I searched South Dragons on wikipedia and found the link to this site at the bottom. The reason im posting here, is to offer a suggestion for promoting this campaign. I was thinking we could get as many Dragons supporters together and go along to a Tigers game with banners plugging this website...

If we can plug this site during an NBL game on Fox, it would get the commentators talking and hence it would engage the audience.

Just thought id offer my 2 cents

Firstly Welcome to the site and thank you for becoming involved. If you know any more Dragons supporters, please spread the word, and get them to pledge their support to the campaign.

I love your idea, and it is an idea that has come up before. I do agree that it would be a great idea, we will just need to get some passionate people involved and then get seats that are in the publics eye, and a Tigers game that is telecast on Foxtel.

So who would be up for it? I will try and organise group ticket prices through the Tigers and find a date that suits.

20th of January or the 26th of January are the only days that will suit, as they are the only games that Fox Sports are telecating for the remainder of the season from the Cage.

I was thinking the 20th, try and do it as soon as possible, but open to a change of date.
